From Customer Experience to Research and Development, a core tenet of Therabody’s company culture is that the next big idea or product innovation can come from anyone at any level. Since our founder’s journey to create the first-ever Theragun to relieve his own debilitating pain, real stories and real people have always been at the heart of who we are and why we are on a mission to help everybody take control of their wellness and recovery.
So, we’re taking you behind the scenes at Therabody to highlight the real people who are helping make that mission a reality everyday — the best and brightest from around the globe.
Meet Asher Gardner, Senior Account Executive with commercial sales and retail. Asher is located in Los Angeles, California. Since joining Therabody, Asher has been an integral part of the sales team. Bringing his ideas to life, Asher’s energy and determination have been felt by everyone within the company.
What is your favorite part of working at Therabody?
A few years ago I severely injured myself and fractured four vertebrae in my spine. Using my Theragun critically helped my recovery and continues to be a daily resource for my health and wellness. Having a true life-changing experience with this product and now being able to work with businesses to find solutions for their clientele is beyond rewarding and by far my favorite part about working for Therabody.
Give us a quick breakdown of your role and what you do at Therabody.
I am a Senior Account Executive within our commercial sales and retail vertical for Health Clubs, Hospitality & Spas. I educate companies about how they can utilize Therabody products within their businesses. If you see or use Therabody products at a gym, hotel, or spa, my team and I most likely helped bring those in.
If you could do someone else’s job at Therabody for a week, what would it be and why?
Easy – Dr. J. It would be incredible to work with all of our top athletes, ambassadors and our product development team to further innovate and create new products. A week is probably all I could manage, but man would it be exciting.
It’s lunch time! What is your go-to?
My go-to lunch spot is California Chicken Cafe. It’s been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember and never disappoints.
Walk us through any secrets to success you’ve found when working from home.
Daily routines, taking breaks, and going outside are all key to working from home. Rather than rolling out of bed and getting right onto my computer in the morning, I’ll make myself coffee. I also set two blocks during my day, an hour for lunch and 30 minutes for a walk around my neighborhood.
