Therabody University, is the professional education arm of Therabody. The curriculum is made up of both live and digital content.
The curriculum builds on an initial Foundations (101) Course with subsequent Specialty (201, 202, etc.) Courses focused on leveraging Theragun Percussive Therapy in specific professions.
Our academia structure is made up of course graduates who will join us as Alumni.
What is the cost of a Live Theragun Course and what is included?
Our 200 Series 4-hour, Live (in person & virtual) Professional Education Courses are US$149.95, and our 300 Series is US$199.95

Which Theragun Course do you recommend I take first?
The Foundations Digital Course is a suggested first step in our education journey. However, you can enter our other education offerings without it. Our 200 & 300 Series courses are developed for specific professionals.

Theragun Foundations Course (101)
This course is ideal for anyone who would like to understand the principles of percussive therapy. In this course, you will learn the foundational structure for setting up and applying percussive therapy for personal use and as well as how to educate your community on the history and framework of percussive therapy.

This four-hour course is the first step for any trainer and performance coach who would like to immerse themselves into percussive therapy. In this course you will learn the essential skills to effectively use percussive therapy for personal use and have the knowledge to help your clients and athletes use it to move better, enhance training outcomes, and recover effectively.

Theragun Licensed Massage Therapist Course (202)
This four-hour course is designed to teach any licensed massage therapist the framework for integrating percussive therapy into their practice. In this course, you will learn the essential skills to effectively use percussive therapy for personal use and have the knowledge to enhance your client massage strategies to increase their optimal movement and decrease muscle tension.

Theragun Practitioner Course (301)
This four-hour course is ideal for physical therapists, athletic trainers, and chiropractors who are looking to upgrade their performance rehabilitation approach by integrating percussive therapy into their patient recovery strategies. In this course, you will gain the knowledge to enhance your patient rehab protocols to improve their global movement patterns as well as learn the essential skills to effectively use percussive therapy for common conditions patients suffer from.

• Define the specific components that characterize percussive therapy such as Amplitude, Frequency and Torque.
• Summarize the physiological and neurological effects of percussive therapy.
• Identify the benefits of percussive therapy for your patients based on condition.
• Determine the most appropriate application of percussive therapy based on anatomy, tissues, and regions being treated.
• Specify at least 2 best practices for integrating percussive therapy into your treatment toolbox for patient success.
• Design percussive therapy treatment protocols for the most common patient conditions.
What does a typical course day look like?
All Live Courses are 4-hours in duration and composed of both practical and lecture components. There will be short breaks throughout the day. Be prepared to have fun and learn new education that you can apply on Monday.
Do I need to bring equipment to the Course?
Yes. For Live Virtual courses you should have a Theragun Percussive Therapy device.
No. For Live In Person courses all products are provided. Outside of the essential Course products, here’s a list of suggested items to bring along: water bottle, exercise towel, jacket, smart phone or tablet to view digital manual, pen/notebook, and lunch/snacks.
Can I attend a Course even if I’m not a Fitness Professional?
Yes, if you’re taking our Foundations Course. The skills you learn could be applied and useful to anyone. Our 200 & 300 Series Courses are specific to those professionals.
What if I’ve deleted or can’t find my Course Registration information?
Live In Person Courses: Please keep your email confirmation and have it handy when you arrive at the Course. Your registration will also be in our system and your name will be on the Course Roster. However, it’s always best practice to have your own registration as a back up.
Which Continuing Education Credits are earned from a Professional Education Course?
Fitness professionals can earn CEC/CEUs with the completion of Theragun University Professional Education Courses (varies per course type):
Theragun Performance Specialist Course – NASM, AFFA, PTA Global, ISSA, NSCA, CanFitPro, CSCCa, NCSF, and CIMSPA
Theragun Licensed Massage Therapist Course - NCBTMB
Theragun Practitioner Course - PTA Global, ISSA, CanFitPro, CSCCa, BOC, PACE, CIMSPA, and Physical Therapy Boards: New York, Texas, Illinois, Arkansas

How do I receive my Certificate of Completion and Continuing Education Credits?
Certificates of completion are available when one completes a live or digital course (excluding live Foundations). They are available in the education portal (one’s personal account).
Will I be certified by Theragun after I complete the Course?
At the end of the Course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Therabody University which recognizes your ability to apply the knowledge and newly learned skills into your role as a fitness professional.
These Courses are comprehensive Continuing Education courses rather than Certifications, and can be applied toward the credits needed to maintain nationally recognized Certifications.
How do I become a Therabody University Professional Education Master Educator?
We have an extensive Master Educator development process to uphold the quality of our education. Appointed by Therabody University Faculty, Master Educators consistently exemplify exceptional product knowledge and course delivery. The first step is to fill out a Master Educator Application Form (resumes will not be accepted). Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Has completed at least one 4-hour Therabody University Professional Education Course (specific to course type)
• Proven leader in the industry (conference presenting, published articles, published digital education)
• Preferred minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field
• Current Certification(s) in related field (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, BOC, NCBTMB, etc.)
• 2-3 years of presentation experience
• 6-8 years experience in one or more of the following areas (specialty specific): fitness, strength & conditioning coaching, group fitness, personal training, licensed massage therapist, practitioner
What is your LIVE Professional Education Course cancellation and refund policy?
Course registration fees are non-refundable. However, if for any reason Therabody University cancels a Course, registrants will have the option to receive a full refund.
Requests to change registration from one Live In Person Course to another must be made at least 14 days before the Course date via e-mail to educationsupport@therabody.com. Requests made later than that are subject to a US$100 rescheduling fee.
Registrants may assign their Course slot to another student for a US$50 change fee.
Do you offer Therabody University LIVE Professional Education Courses Internationally?
Yes. We run our courses directly in several International markets. See Therabody University landing page for more information.
